In recent survey, conducted by Investopedia Air Traffic Controller position was named the top paying job in America that required the minimum education. The numbers came from the Bureau of Labor Statistics. This, turned many young people’s attention to Air Traffic Control School wondering where they can get that education.

Universities normally don’t have Air Traffic Schools or programs. It is managed by FAA. The job of the Air Traffic Controller requires a special type of FAA schooling and on the job training.

Air Traffic Controllers may receive up to $117,200 dollars yearly. The median salary is between $86,860-142,210. This is in addition to good benefits.

However, the job is stressful. This is why Air Traffic Controllers retire at 50 years. The watch the lives of hundreds or thousands of air passengers and it indeed ban be stressful.

FAA has approved school for Air Traffic Controllers, called Collegiate Training Initiative (AT-CTI) Schools. Some are the Aviation Department of the Aims Community College, Department of Aeronautical Management Technology at the Arizona State University, or Vaughn College of Aeronautics and Technology in Flushing, NY.

With black cat-like ears, an animal print cardigan and tank, topped off with pretty make-up, Michelle Obama’s Halloween catwoman costume has sent Google’rs looking for information about what the First Couple would be wearing for Halloween.

And what did the first family give to trick or treaters?  According to HuffingtonPost.com, the Obama’s handed out dried fruit and M&Ms and other treats to more than 2,000 trick-or-treaters in honor of military families on Halloween.

Wake Forest Report Card

Just getting ready to head to the airport, but wanted to take some time to hand out grades. The Hurricanes were unspectacular, but did rally from a 17-point deficit to earn a win that makes them bowl-eligible.

Here’s how I saw it:

OFFENSE: C-

Sure, Jacory Harris threw for 330 yards and three TDs, but the offense really struggled at times. The passing game was inconsistent. The running game was almost non-existent, especially in the second half. The only reason for the C is because of the final drive, where the Hurricanes got it together just in time to steal a victory.

DEFENSE: D+

Wake Forest gained 555 yards. Need I say more? This is a team that had only mustered 13 points in the last two games, yet goes on an offensive explosion. It must be noted UM is really banged up on defense, and it played nickel packages to offset the injuries at linebacker. As Allen Bailey put it after the game, the Hurricanes only allowed seven points after halftime. But that’s not to say the Demon Deacons offense didn’t have their way. Secondary remains a concern, especially at cornerback.

SPECIAL TEAMS: A

You can’t ask any more of punter Matt Bosher. He averaged 43 yards a punt, including a long of 55. Only one of his punts were returned, and it went for -12 yards. The coverage also scored a game-changing turnover when Sam Shields recovered the muffed punt at the 2-yardline that set up a TD.

“Ghost Hunter”-The Live Telecast

The “Ghost Hunters” Halloween special has been put under way and the results are out. With a live broadcast, as a special treat for its viewers, the team went to the Essex County hospital and premiered a show for 6 continuous hours on the night of Halloween.

The hospital is said to be stalked by the ghosts of the patients who were killed decades ago by the cold (when 24 patients died during the winter) and many others during the World War II. The hospital is not a a new find for the hunters, as it has been earlier featured on Ghost Adventures and also the, Clark Gregg directed, 2008 movie ‘Choke” starring Sam Rockwell and Angelica Huston.

The show ‘Ghost Hunter’ had its host in the form of ‘Josh Gates’, along with his team mates, Steve and Tango, who spent time together filming and finding ghosts in the century-old buildings. The crew inspected two of the most (reportedly) haunted buildings at the hospital [which has over 70 buildings], no. 11 (housing morgue) and no. 5 (that is said to have satanic energies). Since the area consisted of around 356 acres (35 acres in buildings), the team had to bring in extra investigators to help them search for the “Haunted”.

The extra investigators came in the form of the new people who had been recruited for Ghost Hunters Academy [which is to go on air from 11th Nov]. To watch the show, viewers had to log on to the Syfy website, where they could watch the live feed coming in from the different cameras placed in the different areas of the hospital. The best feature was, in case the viewer did find something spooky, they could hit the panic button, which then brought the investigators to the particular place.

George Steinbrenner will “absolutely” be at Yankee Stadium for Game 1 of the World Series Wednesday night, Hal Steinbrenner said last night.

“I think all these players are doing this for him,” Hal said. “We want to win this whole thing for him. I think we feel like he’s here being a big part of it.”

George Steinbrenner, 79, has been in declining health in recent years and has not been at a game in the Bronx since the home opener in April.

“I can tell you he’ll be excited to be here Wednesday night,” Hal added. “That’s for sure. It means a lot to him. It’s been a lot of years. A lot of years. It’s been six, and [Joe] Girardi has done a great job and we’re all proud. The whole organization is proud of this team.”

George Steinbrenner officially handed over the control of the Yankees to Hal last November.

CHENNAI: Huma Wasim, wife of former Pakistani cricketer Wasim Akram, died at the Apollo Hospital in Chennai, India Sunday morning after being in criticial condition for the past five days. According to hospital officials, Huma breathed her last around 9.45 a.m.

Huma was suffering from sepsis (an inflammation of several tissues, including blood leading to kidney failure) and was admitted to Apollo Hospital Tuesday after developing complications mid-air while on her way to Mount Elizabeth Hospital in Singapore from Pakistan.

At Apollo Hospital, she was in the intensive care unit (ICU) since then and died Sunday without regaining consciousness.

Akram was married to Huma for 14 years and the couple have two sons, Taimur and Akbar.

A trained medical practitioner herself, Huma had a stint with some of the leading hospitals in Pakistan as a psychologist and a hypnotherapist.

Arrangements are being made to take her body back to Pakistan, sources said.
